A one-time Look at your retirement

For those clients nearing retirement or recently retired, my one-time financial planning offering includes a focused retirement plan review. This engagement is designed to provide a clear, independent second opinion on retirement readiness and the key decisions that come with making the transition. This service is ideal for those who have relied on simple calculators or used DIY planning software and want an independent check on their assumptions and conclusions. I recreate the analysis from scratch to validate the projections and identify any gaps or risks before you move forward.

  • Your plan includes a retirement projection built on historical assumptions, stress-tested across real-world scenarios. I develop a coordinated withdrawal and tax strategy—including Roth conversions with attention to IRMAA—review your investments, and optimize Social Security claiming to support sustainable, after-tax retirement income. Your Roth conversion strategy should be reviewed annually and requires a tax projection before implementation. This plan will provide an overall direction of whether you are a good candidate.

  • Plans start at $3,800.

If you’re a good candidate for a Roth conversion in a given year, a tax projection can be added through my hourly service. These analyses are completed in the fourth quarter and only when they meaningfully support the planning decision.

  • Clients receive a one-page action plan delivered as a PDF, along with supporting analysis reports generated in Income Lab. Sample reports are available upon request—please email me if you’d like to review an example

  • I use Income Lab because it provides a more realistic and transparent view of retirement than traditional projections. Instead of relying on a single assumed rate of return, it uses real-world historical data—including periods like the 2008 financial crisis—to stress-test your plan across thousands of market scenarios. All investment recommendations are built using low-cost, index-based ETFs, reflecting my belief that capital markets work well and that disciplined, diversified investing is the most reliable foundation for long-term retirement planning.
