I work best with clients who:

  • value professional guidance and a structured approach

  • are looking for direction, not just validation

  • want financial decisions evaluated in the context of a broader plan

This may not be the right fit if you are looking for a second opinion on an existing plan or ongoing ad hoc advice.

Ongoing financial planning and investment management

Ongoing financial planning is designed for clients who want a long-term partner in making and implementing financial decisions.

This work is structured throughout the year and focused on evaluating decisions in context—across income, taxes, investments, and long-term planning. Rather than reacting to individual questions, we take a coordinated approach to ensure each decision supports the overall plan.

Ongoing clients typically include investment management and implementation as part of the relationship.

  • After the agreement is signed, we will:

The initial engagement is completed through a structured planning process, followed by ongoing monitoring and adjustments throughout the year.

After the first year, we will meet in the spring and fall each year with regular check-ins in between.

Ongoing clients typically include investment management and implementation as part of the relationship.

    Retirement Planning & Ongoing Management

Designed for clients in or near retirement where income strategy, tax planning, and portfolio decisions become more interconnected over time.

    • Ongoing planning typically begins at $8,500 and $12,500 annually, with fees adjusted based on complexity. Fees will be adjusted periodically over time to reflect changes in scope and inflation.

  • This offering aims to optimize investment returns while managing risk and taxes according to your goals and preferences. See investment page for more details.

  • Retirement planning involves forecasting future financial needs and implementing a strategy to accumulate sufficient resources to meet those needs. We will review savings, investment choices, and help understanding Social Security benefits to ensure a comfortable retirement. I use Income Lab’s guardrails system to determining a sustainable spending rate.

  • Equity compensation can take several forms:

    1. Stock Options: These give employees the right to purchase a specific number of shares at a predetermined price, known as the exercise or strike price, within a certain time frame. Employees benefit if the company's stock price exceeds the strike price.

    2. Restricted Stock Units (RSUs): RSUs are company shares granted to employees as part of their compensation, subject to vesting conditions. Once vested, employees receive actual shares, which they can sell or hold.

    3. Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPPs): These plans allow employees to purchase company shares at a discounted rate, often through payroll deductions over a specified offering period.

    4. Performance Shares: These shares are granted based on the company's performance or the achievement of specific goals. Employees earn shares if the performance metrics are met.

Let me help you understand the potential tax implications, risks, and strategies to optimize your financial outcomes.

  • We will explore different education funding scenarios and outline the most effective approach going forward.

  • Tax planning is strategically organizing your financial affairs to minimize your tax liability over the long haul. Ongoing planning clients receive a tax projection each year to better anticipate tax season.

One-time Financial plan - For clients in their Working Years

Consider this a snapshot of your financial life during your working years. You’ll walk away with clear priorities, a structured action plan, and a framework to make confident decisions as you continue building wealth.

Looking for a retirement plan? Most clients approaching retirement begin here.

  • We will conduct two virtual meetings:

    1. Meeting 1: Discuss goals and gather data.

Meeting 2: Present recommendations. You will receive a one-page financial plan of action items following the meeting.

This engagement is designed for a defined point in time. Ongoing planning is more appropriate for clients who want continued guidance and implementation over time.

  • Plans starting at $3,800. All planning fees are based on complexity and will be discussed during our intro call.

Hourly

Hourly planning is designed for focused questions, such as whether you can afford a home or renovation. Hourly engagements are limited to specific, well-defined questions. Retirement planning and ongoing decision-making require a structured planning engagement. This is advice-only guidance with no sales pitches or asset management fees.

Retirement projections or retirement-related decisions require a one-time retirement plan. More information here.

I do not review or build on existing financial plans. Each plan is built from the ground up to ensure decisions are evaluated in the proper context. Hourly engagements are not used for ongoing planning or plan updates.

  • We will conduct one planning meeting:

    1. Phone Call (20 mins): To discuss needs and provide a quote for hours needed

    2. Virtual Meeting: Conduct a meeting and send summary of recommendations.

    Plan Updates

For clients who would like to revisit their plan in the future, I offer a structured Plan Update engagement.

This is a focused engagement designed to reassess your financial position and update key decisions based on what has changed over time.

This is not a check-in or ongoing access. Plan updates are completed within a defined scope, similar to an initial planning engagement.

Fees typically range from $3,500–$4,000 depending on complexity.

  • Hourly rate of $250/hour. Number of hours will be discussed during our intro call based on topics covered.

There is a three hour minimum per engagement.
